2. Minnesota C John Michael Schmitz

Minnesota's John Michael Schmitz has the potential to be a starter from Day 1 in the NFL. During his six collegiate seasons, he developed into one of the top center prospects in the nation.

After redshirting his freshman season, and spending his sophomore year on special teams, Schmitz earned the starting nod in 2019. Over the four seasons since, he became an elite presence on the interior. Coming in at 6-3 and 305 pounds, he has the desired size at center. In addition, he has the strength to match.

During the 2022 campaign, Schmitz played the best football of his collegiate career. While being on the field for 767 total offensive snaps, he posted a PFF grade of 92.3, which made him the highest-graded center. In total, Schmitz allowed just two sacks, one quarterback hit, and five hurries on the season.

Schmitz has proven to thrive in the ground game. With how the Giants offense operates, he could thrive in their system. Given that he can adjust to the speed of the NFL game, he has all the skills necessary to become a strong talent at center.
