3. CB Eli Apple

The Giants drafted Eli Apple with the No. 10 overall pick in the 2016 NFL Draft. Apple spent 2.5 seasons with Big Blue before being traded to the New Orleans Saints. He also spent time with the Carolina Panthers and Cincinnati Bengals. Apple would be a crucial piece to the Bengals' success in going to Super Bowl LVI, but would become a subject of scrutiny after allowing Cooper Kupp to score the game-winning touchdown in the fourth quarter.

This past season, Apple was with the Miami Dolphins, where he would play 49.9 percent of the team's defensive snaps. Pro Football Focus ranked Apple as the 102nd-best cornerback in the NFL. The veteran defensive back was signed at the start of the season to replace Jalen Ramsey, who started the season on the injured reserve.

The Dolphins will have three other cornerbacks hit free agency this offseason. After Apple's performance this past year, the Dolphins should pursue other options for their secondary for next season.
