3. Panthers DT A’Shawn Robinson
A'Shawn Robinson’s time with the Giants was very short, as he was only there for one season. He started in 13 of the 17 games played for the Giants and made 62 total tackles with no sacks. The highlight of Robinson’s stint with the Giants was the scuffle that he and San Francisco 49ers veteran tackle Trent Williams got into during Week 3.
Robinson wasn’t a free agent for too long, as he signed a three-year deal with the Carolina Panthers, which will be his fourth team of his career. Aside from the Giants, Robinson had been with the Detroit Lions and Los Angeles Rams. Now, he’ll join the Panthers defensive line and try to help a team that struggled terribly in 2023.
With Robinson joining Carolina, he’ll be on the opposite side of the Giants when the two teams play at Bank of America Stadium, so he’ll be going up against the NY offensive line in live competition as opposed to just seeing them in practice during the week. For the Giants sake, hopefully no punches get thrown unlike what happened in Week 3 between him and Williams.
