3. TE Logan Thomas

Logan Thomas made his name in the NFL at tight end for the Washington Commanders, but the first team to give him his start after playing quarterback in college was the Buffalo Bills. It’d be a mini-reunion if the Giants were able to bring Thomas to New York in 2024, and there aren’t many factors that should sway the team away from at least checking on what it would take.

Last season, Thomas caught 55 passes for 496 yards and four touchdowns inside Washington’s putrid offense, and now he can’t find a job in 2024. He had a cup of coffee with the San Francisco 49ers earlier in the summer, but he’s been sitting, waiting for his next opportunity ever since. The Giants could make the call for the veteran.

At the moment, it seems as if the Giants will be relying on the combination of third-year tight end Daniel Bellinger and rookie Theo Johnson following Darren Waller’s retirement. While it’s nice to have the young legs out there, Jones, or whoever’s playing quarterback for the Giants, could use a veteran pass-catcher in the room, and Thomas would be the perfect addition to the offense, even if it’s not in a starting role.
