3. WR Steve Smith

Although he was a reliable and productive receiver throughout his career, Steve Smith never had another season like 2009.  In every other year of his career, he combined for 148 receptions. Smith had 107 receptions in 2009 alone.

He accounted for more than 1,200 yards in '09 and had more touchdowns in that season than the rest of his career combined. In '09, whenever Smith was mentioned, he was mentioned among the best receivers in the league.

In the '09 season, Smith had his career longest reception of 51 yards, his career best yards per game at 76.3, his best yards per target at 7.8 and his best yards per touch at 11.4. Simply put, Smith was on another planet in 2009 and for whatever reason left that planet after that campaign. When you ask a Giants fan about Smith, this is the one they'll talk about, not that other guy who played a lot of years in Carolina.
