3. OL Jake Kubas

One of the more underrated players on the Giants offensive line was UDFA Jake Kubas out of North Dakota State. The Giants were in some serious need of interior offensive line depth and at first, it seemed like Aaron Stinnie would be the swing guard, with Josh Ezeudu serving as an emergency option if the injury bug got bad.

However, something nobody anticipated was Kubas, a 6'4, 308-pound guard who showed some real promise throughout the preseason. With veterans like Marcus McKethan and Matt Nelson getting the cut, it was surprising to see a bit of an unknown in Kubas make the team.

This is a good thing, though. Kubas is young, and allowed just two pressures through 68 pass-blocking snaps in the preseason. In addition to this, he also earned a PFF pass-blocking grade of 79.3. Yes, he mostly played against backups, but he still performed better than most in order to earn his spot.
