2. Pass-rusher Ovie Oghoufo
While the Giants did add one of the best young pass-rushers in the league in Brian Burns, there are still real depth concerns behind him and Kayvon Thibodeaux. Azeez Ojulari has been anything but durable and besides him, the Giants have Jeremiah Martin, Benton Whitley, former undrafted free agent Tomon Fox, and Boogie Basham on the roster.
There are a lot of unknowns still at the EDGE position going into next season. Enter Ovie Oghoufo. Oghoufo played for Notre Dame, Texas, and lastly LSU before making the jump to the NFL. Oghoufo has decent size for the EDGE position, but lacks the athleticism to be that dynamic pass-rusher consistently at the next level.
Oghoufo has long arms and is good with his hands, fighting off blocks with sheer effort and motor. While he may not crack the final 53-man roster, he has a chance to grab a spot with the practice squad. If there's one person who can develop guys up front, it's defensive line coach Andre Patterson.
