1. Darius Slayton

This will be the one that gets the most resistance from the Giants fanbase, as Darius Slayton is a popular player who's also been the team’s leading receiver in four of the past five seasons. Slayton also had incentives added into his contract, which would lead a lot of people to think that he’s not looking to be traded.

With that said, Slayton could find himself as the odd man out of the roster rotation, as Malik Nabers will get the majority of the looks as the No. 1 receiver. Plus, throw in Wan’Dale Robinson and Jalin Hyatt, plus Isaiah Hodgins returning and the team drafting Theo Johnson to take the potential targets that Darren Waller might have gotten, and Slayton really could see his targets diminish if he ends up being the odd man out.

If that’s the case, Slayton, who has five years of experience and isn’t an expensive receiver in a market where wideouts are making a lot of money, could be worth it to another team as a veteran that could help. Maybe not now as we haven’t gotten to training camp yet, but if a team experiences an injury and ends up being in need for a proven WR who is dependable, that’s where the idea of potentially trading Slayton comes into play, especially with him entering the final year of his deal.
