4 players on the Giants who are untradeable including Dexter Lawrence
As we draw closer to the 2024 season for the NY Giants, it's obvious they're in more of a rebuild mode than being a true contender. Joe Schoen and Co. did a nice job filling holes this past draft with the likes of Malik Nabers, Tyler Nubin and Theo Johnson.
These are three players we all hope turn out to be franchise cornerstones for everyone to enjoy. However, as most of us are looking to the future, that doesn't mean there aren't already some franchise pillars on this roster, highlighted by these four players:
4.LB Kayvon Thibodeaux
Kayvon Tibodeaux has only been in the NFL for two years, but is already making a name for himself as one of the best and most versatile EDGE guys in the league. He's coming off a season in which he not only had 11.5 sacks (T-12 in the league), but also four passes defended. The guy can get after the quarterback and hold his own in coverage. A player with his skillset this early in his career doesn't come around very often and he needs to stay by any means necessary for the long haul.
When you look at the defense and who could get the best return, Thibodeaux certainly has a "tradable" contract. He's a great player with three years of solid control left (assuming his fifth-year option is picked up). He would command a huge haul if he were to ever reach the trading block, but that simply can't happen. He's too young, too good and too important to this defensive unit to be given up.
