2. Michael Penix Jr. falls to the second round

One of the wildest stories throughout this year's draft cycle has been where Michael Penix Jr. will get drafted. Some have predicted as high as the Top 10, while others have him going as low as the late second round. While we think Penix is certainly a talented quarterback, the most realistic scenario in terms of his abilities and ceiling is that he falls to the second.

Not only is this the most realistic scenario, but it's also the one that could best help the Giants moving forward. If New York can manage to take a receiver like Malik Nabers or Harrison in the first, then take a potential franchise guy in Penix in the second, there's no telling how high the ceiling could be for this team.

Last season at Washington, Penix completed 65.5 percent of his passes for 4,906 yards, 36 touchdowns, and 11 interceptions. He certainly has some technique issues to work on, but under a coach like Brian Daboll, he could easily become a starter for New York in no time.

All the Giants have to do is hope that a team like the Vikings or Broncos doesn't reach on Penix too early in the first round. If they do, things could get interesting concerning what New York does at quarterback past 2024.
