4. WR Richie James
Sticking with the defending Super Bowl champions, former Giants wide receiver Richie James is a free agent this offseason. The wideout for the Chiefs was crucial as Kansas City's primary punt receiver this past season. In 2023, James had 10 receptions and 114 yards; however, as a punt receiver, he posted 200 yards and had 187 return yards on kickoffs.
Before joining the Chiefs, James was a member of the Giants in 2022, where he had 57 receptions, 569 yards, and four touchdowns. As a punt returner with Big Blue, he had 174 yards on 24 attempts. While a reunion between the Giants and James this offseason isn't likely, the veteran wideout could receive another one-year deal from a team looking to improve their receiving core and special teams.
What about the New England Patriots, a team who is looking for a wide receiver they can pair opposite JuJu Smith-Schuster? For now, though, the KC free agent is still looking for a new place to call home.
