5 former NY Giants players who are still free agents

There are still several former Giants available in free agency. Will Joe Schoen pursue any of them?

2. CB Adoree' Jackson

One player that the Giants could retain (but not likely) is veteran defensive back Adoree' Jackson. However, with Deonte Banks developing into a star cornerback for the team and several changes being made this offseason to Big Blue's secondary, including the departure of Xavier McKinney in free agency and the acquisition of Jalen Mills, it doesn't seem likely Jackson will be back with the team in 2024. The Giants have also shown interest in free-agent cornerback Tre'Davious White.

We know there will be several changes on defense next season, such as the addition of Brian Burns to the defensive line and the introduction of new defensive coordinator Shane Bowen. It wouldn't be a surprise to see Jason Pinnock and Tre Hawkins III take a big step forward next season as well, which would be needed for this young secondary. With that said, a return for Jackson seems unlikely.

However, plenty of other teams could use a player like him on their roster. A team like the Atlanta Falcons could make a lot of sense, with A.J. Terrell entering a contract year. Jackson didn't live up to the hype with the Giants - it's time to move on.
