5 free-agent moves from Giants rivals that should terrify fans
3. LB Devin White, Philadelphia Eagles
When Devin White was drafted in the top five by the Tampa Bay Buccaneers, they had dreams of him becoming one of the best linebackers in the entire league. He’s shown flashes, reaching Second-Team All-Pro status in the past, but the last couple seasons have been rough for White.
Specifically, he’s been exposed in the running game, where White hasn’t shown he’s one of the better linebackers in the league in quite some time. However, his passing coverage is still more than solid, and something that Philadelphia will be relying on heavily in 2024.
He came cheap to the Eagles, and it’s more than worth taking a chance on the former LSU star. Especially when you consider the strength of the Eagles defensive line, Philadelphia could bring out the best in the former Tampa Bay star linebacker.
It didn’t work out with Shaq Leonard last season, when the Eagles looked to make a reclamation project out of the former Indianapolis Colts standout. However, White doesn’t have an injury history, and he’s still only 26 years old. A lot could be gained from this move by the Eagles.
