3. RB Saquon Barkley - Philadelphia Eagles

This one shouldn't surprise most Giants fans, but Saquon Barkley could be considered overrated. Big Blues fans are familiar with Saquon as he has spent the last six seasons in New York with the Giants. One takeaway from his tenure with the Giants is that Barkley struggled to stay healthy. The two-time Pro Bowler missed 25 games from 2019 to 2023 due to injuries.

Saquon signed a three-year, $37.75 million contract with the Philadelphia Eagles this offseason, considered one of the biggest free agencies for the running back position. The deal made Barkley the fourth-highest-paid running back in the NFL. While the thought of Saquon wearing green may upset many Giants fans and even owner John Mara, the G-Men allocated the money saved toward improving the offensive line with two new linemen, signing backup QB Drew Lock and running back Devin Singletary, and acquiring Brian Burns from the Carolina Panthers. The Giants essentially got four players by not matching the Eagles' offer for Barkley.

This year, Barkley joins the Philadelphia Eagles' new offense, where he must adjust to Kellen Moore's scheme. He must learn the new offense and understand that his production might regress as he will be one of many star players on the Philly offense. In the rushing department, he'll split rushing carries with quarterback Jalen Hurts and the Eagles loaded RB room consisting of Kenneth Gainwell and rookie Will Shipley. In the passing game, Barkley will compete for targets with wideouts AJ Brown, DeVonta Smith, and former Giant Parris Campbell. For now, we'll have to wait and see Saquon's impact in year one with the Eagles, but first, he'll have to stay healthy.
