2. QB Jalen Hurts - Philadelphia Eagles

This one may raise a few eyebrows, but it makes sense if you think about it. Philadelphia Eagles quarterback Hurts is one of the division's most overrated players entering the 2024 NFL season, and here's why. For starters, Hurts has had one dominant season in the league: in 2022, when the Eagles went to the Super Bowl. In 2022, Hurts had a 101.5 rating and 68.3 QBR, the highest in his career. With the NFC loaded with contenders such as the Niners, Lions, and Cowboys, it will be challenging for Hurts to replicate that season and lead the Eagles back to the Super Bowl.

Not only is Hurts undersized and listed at six-foot-one, but he also doesn't have the best arm among quarterbacks in the league. Last year, Hurts ranked 14th in passing yards with 3,858 and had a 60.1 QB rating in 17 games. The 25-year-old also had 23 passing touchdowns, 15 rushing touchdowns, and 15 interceptions. Hurts' touchdown-to-interception ratio and his rushing stats compared to his passing stats could cause concern for the Eagles. The veteran had a disappointing 20 total turnovers last year, which is 12 more times than the previous season, where he only had eight.

Hurts' 15 rushing touchdowns last season set the NFL record for most by a quarterback in a season, and a significant reason why was the Eagles' iconic "tush push" play that was run by the offense on the goal line. The play, also known as the "Brotherly Shove," has had a success rate of over 90% over the last few seasons. We'll see if that play is still as effective without long-time center Jason Kelce, who announced his retirement after last season. In addition, the Hurts must learn a whole new scheme this year, as the Eagles have a new offensive coordinator for consecutive seasons.
