4. OL Will Hernandez

Dave Gettleman thought he was on his way towards fixing the Giants offensive line, as Will Hernandez looked like an awesome second-round pick. As fate would have it, Hernandez was never able to truly put it back together again in New York, as many offensive linemen can’t seem to figure it out with the Giants, at least over recent seasons. Hernandez left the Giants for Arizona after 2021, and he’s been a big piece of the Cardinals offensive line ever since.

Even though Hernandez has dealt with some injuries, he’s been reliable and a steadying presence for the Cardinals along their offensive line. Whether it’s Kyler Murray or one of their other quarterbacks playing under center, Hernandez has been one of their better protectors.

The former UTSA offensive lineman is still only 28. With the rotating door of guards the Giants have trotted on the field since his departure, one has to think the team would’ve been better served not giving up on their former second-rounder. Fans are hoping Jon Runyan Jr., who signed with the G-Men this offseason, can be a stud on the interior moving forward.
