4. Edge-rusher Benton Whitley

Benton Whitley is an underdog favorite for some Giants fans, however, with the acquisition of Brian Burns and the potential of an Azeez Ojulari bounce-back season, we're doubtful that there will be room to keep Whitley around. He seems almost guaranteed to return to the practice squad, but the odds are not in his favor as of now.

The Giants will have three pass-rushers undoubtedly playing ahead of Whitley in the form of Kayvon Thibodeaux, Burns, and Ojulari. This, combined with Tomon Fox and Boogie Basham, two guys with more standing and experience in the building, makes it almost impossible for Whitley to be worth keeping around.

Whitley played 13 snaps for the Giants all of last season, racking up just one pass deflection in that time. We wish Whitley nothing but the best whether he remains on the practice squad or goes elsewhere, but we just don't see a world where he makes it past the final cuts.
