The New York Giants are looking to turn the page in 2024 after going a disappointing 6-11 this past season after a playoff year in 2022. This team will also look different with many key and fan-favorite players leaving in free agency. From safety Xavier McKinney leaving for the Green Bay Packers on a four-year deal, and of course, running back Saquon Barkley going down the turnpike to play for the rival Philadelphia Eagles, there is almost a new look and new beginning for this Giants team.

With those key players now gone, it can present the opportunity for some under-the-radar players to step up for the upcoming season. That's why you have to look out for these five players who may be a nice surprise this season:

5. WR Isaiah McKenzie

This was not a big-time move that the Giants made this offseason, as they signed wide receiver Isaiah McKenzie on a one-year deal. Despite not doing much in his first and only season with the Indianapolis Colts, posting only 11 receptions for 82 yards and no touchdowns, don't be surprised if McKenzie does make the team and he ends up turning some heads for the Giants offense.

Before joining the Colts last year, the former Georgia wideout also played for the Buffalo Bills under Brian Daboll when he was the offensive coordinator at Buffalo and he did show some production. His numbers won't blow you away, but perhaps his biggest season came back in 2022 when he had 42 receptions for a career-high 423 yards and four touchdowns.

Even though he's had up-and-down seasons where we have not seen much production from McKenzie, having played under Daboll's offense in Buffalo may be a factor in McKenzie's ability to have a great first year for Big Blue. He will also be able to make a difference on special teams as a returner.
