4. RB Eric Gray
For the first time in a while, the Giants running backs room will look slightly different with Barkley now playing for the Eagles. Even though New York added their new starting running back by signing Devin Singletary on a four-year contract, do not be surprised if second-year running back Eric Gray sees much more action than anticipated.
Gray was drafted in the fifth round of the NFL Draft by the Giants after playing in college for both Tennessee and Oklahoma and despite not doing much in his rookie season, he could see some opportunities for the Giants out of the backfield. Even though Gray did not do much this past season rushing for only 48 yards on 17 carries, Gray could be a great backup option for the Giants at running back if Singletary can't go for a few games or if he struggles.
It was not that long ago that Gray, in his last season at college, rushed for over 1,300 yards and 11 touchdowns and also had 229 receiving yards on 33 receptions. I'm not saying he will replicate those numbers in 2024, but if we see a lot more of Gray than we did last season, he should be somebody we should be watching out for.
