2. WR Darius Slayton
With all of the contractual issues this season, paired with No. 6 overall pick Malik Nabers joining the team, the Giants may be more tempted than ever to move Darius Slayton down the depth chart and fully shake up the wide receivers room. Slayton has been incredibly solid for the Giants since being drafted in the fifth round back in 2019, but it may be time to move on in favor of younger pass-catchers with higher ceilings.
This doesn't mean Slayton should be cut or traded, but guys like Nabers and Jalin Hyatt could force Slayton to take a smaller role. Not only does Nabers offer more consistency all over the field, but Hyatt has more speed and explosiveness in the deep-ball game that Slayton was once known for.
Despite this, Slayton can still prove he deserves to start in 2024 with a steady and consistent training camp. The veteran receiver has had less than 700 yards just once in his five-year career, so we know that there is a floor that comes with Slayton that may not be there with the other guys on the team.
