5 recent NY Giants draft picks we wish the team never made
The NY Giants are no strangers to disastrous draft picks, especially in the five years of hell that was the Dave Gettleman era. While some good choices were made, such as the Saquon Barkley and Andrew Thomas selection, good players being found in the draft were few and far between.
While anything past the first and second rounds is a crap shoot in terms of talent. Sure, some gems can be found, but for the most part, players hardly become stars in the league. However, the problem with the Giants and Gettleman in particular, is that he couldn't even draft well in the first two rounds, where most stars are found.
All but one of the upcoming five draft picks were made in the first round, and not a single one has panned out thus far. There's still time to turn things around, as most of them are still on the right side of their 20s. However, as of now, these five draft picks made by the Giants are looking awfully regrettable.

5. OLB Oshane Ximines
Drafted: 2019, Round 3, Pick 95
As I said, judging any picks past the third round is impossible to do. Some gems can be found. For example, in the third round of this year's draft, Bobby Okereke, Terry McLaurin, Diontae Johnson, and others were taken. Unfortunately, the Giants managed to land Oshane Ximines, who was pretty much a complete non-factor during his five seasons with the team.
In this time, Ximines racked up 71 combined tackles, 6.5 sacks, and 53 pressures. Keep in mind, this is through 48 games and 1,353 total snaps. To put this into perspective, Maxx Crosby, who was taken 11 picks after Ximines, tallied 90 tackles, 14.5 sacks, and 94 pressures this season ALONE.
We can't give Gettleman too much flack for this pick, as again, it's the third round. However, it feels like most guys taken in this range become at least a solid backup player, yet, Ximines never played a real role for the Giants aside from his rookie season.
