4. Help from divisional rIvals

Big Blue could not only use the help of the other conference, but also an even more unlikely place: the NFC East. The Commanders and Eagles could do wonders for the Giants' playoff hopes this weekend. The Commanders take on the Rams on Sunday and a win for Ron Rivera and Co. would help knock the Rams down a peg in the standings. The Rams would then be 6-8 with a loss.

The same goes for the Eagles and their matchup against Seattle on Monday night. With a Philadelphia win, Seattle will be at 6-8 as well. This is something that should happen since the Eagles got their doors blown off in back to back weeks - you should expect them to play some inspired football.

A win here could actually help Big Blue in more ways than one, too. The Eagles would be 11-3 and have a playoff spot all but locked up. By the time Week 18 comes around, they may not have anything to play for and the Giants could sneak a win at the end of the year. These two teams will play before on Christmas, but not many people are going to give NY a shot to come out on top there.
