The good news just won't stop rolling in for Joe Schoen and the NY Giants. This time around, it's star left tackle Andrew Thomas who must be smiling from ear to ear. Long story short, the big fella isn't going anywhere for a while and he just cashed in with a major payday.

According to Adam Schefter, the Giants and Thomas have come to terms on a five-year extension worth an eye-opening $117.5 million. Not only that, but Thomas is getting $67 million guaranteed at signing, which is a new record for an offensive lineman. Whoa.

Andrew Thomas signing a $117.5 million contract is amazing for the Giants

After the incredible campaign he recorded in 2022, it only felt like a matter of time before Thomas received his earth-shattering extension. Interestingly enough, things were announced about 90 minutes before the G-Men take the field for their first day of training camp.

Thomas was an absolute monster for the Giants in '22, taking home Second-Team All-Pro honors for his work. While the offensive line as a whole looked rough for the Giants, Thomas was as steady as can be, working wonders in protecting Daniel Jones and opening up holes for Saquon Barkley.

With this new contract, Thomas is now locked in with Big Blue through the 2029 season. That's seven more years of Thomas going to war in the trenches for head coach Brian Daboll. With Thomas only being 24 years old too, he's about to enter the prime of his career.

Fans are thrilled with this news, once again praising Schoen for outstanding business. This Thomas deal comes the day after he managed to get things done with Saquon Barkley, who is in East Rutherford for camp as well. Come Week 1, Thomas will hope to put on a show vs. the Cowboys to remind everyone of how sensational he is at his job.
