Bills had the stones to make move Giants fans have been calling for
Talk about a Week 10 to forget for the 'New York' football teams. The Jets, woof. The Giants, double woof. It was all on the Buffalo Bills to prevent an 0-3 record from going down. Surely they'd get the job done at home against Russell Wilson and the lowly Broncos... they did not.
The Bills somehow dropped the ball against Denver and someone had to pay for that. Ken Dorsey, meet the unemployment line. On Tuesday, it was announced that the Bills fired their offensive coordinator. Dorsey simply wasn't getting the job done as OC and the same can be said for someone in East Rutherford: Mike Kafka.
The Bills fired offensive coordinator Ken Dorsey after Monday's loss to Denver
You just had a feeling a major change was coming for the Bills. Buffalo entered the season with strong Super Bowl odds, with the AFC East side figured to give the Kansas City Chiefs a run for their money. Instead, this team is now 5-5 on the year.
No one expected that. Josh Allen hasn't looked like himself at all, with the offense as a whole looking pretty damn vanilla. Due to this, Sean McDermott decided someone else needs to take over the offense and Dorsey is on his way out of town.
From the moment the news dropped that Dorsey has been fired, Giants fans have taken to social media to call for Joe Schoen/Brian Daboll to make a similar move. Injuries have haunted NY on offense this year, with Daniel Jones tearing his ACL and backup QB Tyrod Taylor on IR.
Darren Waller is also on IR. However, even when this team was close to full health, the offense looked rough and there was no consistency. The Giants are dead last in the NFL in points per game, averaging an embarrassing 11.8. Who knows if Kafka will make it the rest of the year with his current job. With Dorsey fired, though, it should make him realize that he needs to start performing way better, and fast.
