2. Andrew Thomas shuts down Micah Parsons
The matchup between Andrew Thomas and Micah Parsons is the game within the game every time the Giants and Cowboys get together. Two of the best players at their respective positions going at it for 60 minutes of game play with the winner of the matchup usually having a major influence on the outcome of the game.
After making his highly-anticipated return from a hamstring injury last week, Thomas returned to the lineup and looked no worse for wear after sitting out the last seven games leading up to Week 9:
Now, he gets a revenge opportunity against Parsons, who got the best of him and the rest of the Giants offensive line in the Cowboys’ Week 1 trouncing of the G-Men. Parsons recorded a sack and two quarterback hits en route to the 40-0 blowout victory and Parsons has recorded at least one sack in all but two of the Cowboys’ games this season.
Look for Thomas to neutralize Parsons this week and do what he can to give third-stringer DeVito as clean of a pocket as possible to work with in his first career start.
