1. CeeDee Lamb is Deonte Banks’ next victim
CeeDee Lamb has been arguably the hottest receiver in the NFL over the past three weeks. In that span, he’s seen a whopping 37 targets, which he’s converted into 29 receptions, 466 receiving yards, and two touchdowns. Lamb’s 466 yards ranks first in the NFL over the last four weeks.
Lamb has caught double-digit passes in each of his last two games and recorded no less than 117 yards in each of his past three games. With the Cowboys struggling to get much of anything going in the run game, they’ve leaned on Lamb to move the chains through the air and it’s worked to perfection. Rookie cornerback Deonte Banks isn’t going to back down and should be looking forward to getting another crack at Lamb, whom he shut down in Week 1.
Week 1 got out of hand quickly, which limited Lamb to only seeing four targets. Hopefully, this time around, we get to see these two go at it more often. Both players have shown a lot of growth and improvement since then, especially Banks, who continues to shut down some of the NFL’s best wide receivers.
Last week, it was Davante Adams, who had four catches for 34 yards on seven targets in Week 9. This week, Lamb will be Banks’ next victim, as the latter puts an end to the former’s hot streak and holds him under 100 receiving yards.
