Can you imagine if Boston Scott would have ended up inking with the NY Giants? Scott was a free agent earlier this offseason, and there was speculation that the Giants may have been interested in trying to get him to switch jerseys.

Known, unfortunately, as a 'Giants killer,' Scott ended up re-signing with Philly on a one-year deal. Scott has 10 rushing touchdowns to his name going up against Big Blue. His TDs vs. the G-Men are something people are tired of seeing.

On Tuesday, Scott was asked about whether or not the Giants tried offering him a deal during his free agency. We may never know what exactly happened here:

Boston Scott is known for scoring touchdowns vs. the NY Giants

General manager Joe Schoen signing Scott would have provided plenty of relief for fans, as it would have put an end to him being a TD machine against the G-Men. Now, though, everyone is going to be worried sick he'll score vs. the NY defense at both MetLife Stadium and Lincoln Financial Field.

As for the Giants rushing attack, the team re-signed veteran running back Matt Breida, while also using a fifth-round pick on Eric Gray. Gray has been turning heads at OTAs, which has been a positive for the squad.

The main concern for the NY RBs room is the fact that Saquon Barkley is nowhere to be seen in East Rutherford. Barkley and the Giants are still trying to work on getting a long-term deal done, and they have until July 17 to make that happen.

It's up in the air if the two sides will be able to meet in the middle or not, but there's no denying that the Giants need Barkley out on the field to not only post an impressive '23, but to also potentially get some revenge on Philly this season. As for Scott, no more TDs facing the Giants, please.
