CeeDee Lamb blowing up on Dak Prescott sets up more drama for Giants vs. Cowboys
Things are a mess for Jerry Jones and the Dallas Cowboys. Can't say that NY Giants fans are complaining about that! While Brian Daboll and the G-Men took care of business against Deshaun Watson and the Browns in Week 3, the Cowboys were getting embarrassed by Lamar Jackson and the Ravens for most of their battle.
Dallas was able to make things interesting late in the action, but it was for nothing, as Baltimore posted a 28-25 victory. In the middle of the contest, CeeDee Lamb, who had an off day, looked downright furious with quarterback Dak Prescott. You can watch a clip of the star wideout here blowing up at his signal-caller. Yeah, this isn't a great look at all.
Dak Prescott and CeeDee Lamb are not on the same page for the Cowboys at all
At the end of the clip, it sure looks like Lamb drops an expletive and tells Prescott to get him the ball. In the loss to Baltimore, Lamb hauled in four balls for 67 yards. Prescott posted 379 passing yards, but tight end Jake Ferguson and not Lamb was his leading pass-catcher.
Lamb is a superstar playmaker and he landed a massive extension from Jones in the offseason. The same was the case for Prescott, who is now making $60 million a year. Despite those two getting paid, Dallas is 1-2 on the campaign and they're nowhere close to meeting expectations.
They'll now make their way to East Rutherford to take on the Giants and Brian Daboll for a Week 4 Thursday Night Football matchup. Daboll is yet to top Dallas since taking over as head coach in 2022. How sweet would it be for him to post win No. 1 against America's team and send the Cowboys back to Arlington at 1-3?
Not only would it be yet another setback for Mike McCarthy, but it could lead to even more negative fireworks between Prescott and Lamb. Dallas has struggled on both sides of the ball early on this year, which no one saw coming. Because of it, guys are furious with one another. Again, Giants fans won't complain about it, but they'll sure be glad if it helps NY take care of business and move to 2-2.
