Come on, let's be serious here for a second. Did New York Giants quarterback Daniel Jones have a terrible game against the Minnesota Vikings? He sure did. Jones once again didn't find the endzone, instead finishing his day with two interceptions, one of which was taken back to the house for a touchdown by Minnesota linebacker Andrew Van Ginkel.

It was just one of those afternoons for Jones and the Giants offense, something that has become far too consistent for this team with Jones running the show. Fans are tired of him playing so poorly. Boo birds were raining down from the stands. However, things reached a new low after the final whistle, as some Big Blue supporters were even spotted burning Danny Dimes' jersey in the parking lot. Yikes:

Giants fans were burning Daniel Jones' jersey outside of MetLife

Leading up to kickoff, there was hope and excitement that Jones would be able to power the G-Men to an upset win over Minnesota. With a new offensive line and Malik Nabers on offense, there simply couldn't be a way where the G-Men didn't finish the game without a touchdown, right? That ended up, somehow happening.

Minnesota took down New York 28-6 and their fans have been trolling Giants Nation ever since. At the same time, loads of people are ripping Jones and begging Brian Daboll to send him to the bench in favor of either Drew Lock or Tommy DeVito.

That's not going to happen, as Daboll said after the game that he has no plans to make a switch at quarterback. Instead, Daboll is going to watch some film and see how the Giants can improve things overall. No disrespect to Coach Dabes, but come on, what else does he need to see out of his signal-caller?

Jones is taking a step back in every game that he's competing in. Rust was used as an excuse for the loss to the Texans in the preseason, but nothing can be said about how he looked vs. the Vikings. Sam Darnold completely outplayed him. Jones will get the start vs. the Commanders in Week 2, but if he plays like anything close to what we saw vs. Minnesota, more of his jerseys could get torched.
