Daniel Jones injury finally arrives thanks to garbage play from the offensive line
The worst fear for Brian Daboll and the NY Giants has just arrived. In Sunday's game against the Miami Dolphins, quarterback Daniel Jones was sacked multiple times once again, with left tackle Joshua Ezeudu being to blame for the one that knocked him out of the game.
But, will it keep Jones out for multiple weeks? Jones was leveled early on in the fourth quarter and he had trouble getting to his feet. Jones was visibly in a ton of pain and he had to be helped off the field by trainers. He was quickly ruled out with a neck injury. This is not good for NY.
Daniel Jones dealing with a neck injury is terrible news for the Giants
As you can see from that clip above, Jones was ROCKED by Dolphins linebacker Andrew Van Ginkel. With all of the shots Danny Dimes has taken this campaign, it unfortunately felt like it was only a matter of time before something like this happened.
Ezeudu had a terrible showing against the Dolphins, as it was an afternoon filled with mistakes, none bigger than his poor effort trying to protect Jones on the play he got injured. Shortly after that sequence, Ezeudu was benched and Matt Peart took his spot.
Moving forward, everyone is going to have a close eye on Jones to see if he'll be able to get back on the practice field soon. It's important to remember, though, that Jones has a history of neck issues, making this incident much worse.
Back during the 2021 campaign, Danny Dimes missed six games with a neck injury. That's something the organization will surely keep in mind before he's able to make his return. This also results in injuries this campaign for Jones, Andrew Thomas AND Saquon Barkley. The terrible luck/news won't end for Big Blue.
