Dexter Lawrence doesn't want to wait any longer to get his payday from the NY Giants. That much was made clear earlier this week when it was reported that Sexy Dexy won't be present for the start of the offseason program due to his contract - again, the man wants to get paid.

However, that doesn't mean that Lawrence is just sitting at home and not grinding to get himself ready for the 2023 campaign. A recent workout video of Lawrence alongside star defensive lineman Leonard Williams made its way to Twitter, and the two are looking like total monsters. Giants fans are going to love this:

Dexter Lawrence and Leonard Williams working out together is great to see

Those two are moving around a ton of weight and making it look easy. For Williams, he's motivated to record a monster season in 2023. There's been talks about him potentially restructuring his contract to help out the salary cap for Big Blue, but nothing has been done just yet.

And with Lawrence, all eyes are on general manager Joe Schoen to see if he and the All-Pro defensive tackle can get a new deal done as soon as possible. The last thing anyone wants to see is an unhappy Lawrence leading up to training camp.

Lawrence is entering the final year of his rookie contract after the team picked up his fifth-year option. Could you imagine if he hits free agency next offseason? People in East Rutherford would be ready to panic all over the place.

Schoen knows he can't let that happen, and that a new contract must be signed in the near future. The good thing is that while Lawrence may not be present at the start of the offseason program, we do know he's going to be keeping his body in shape by hitting the weights. Soon enough, he should be putting the pen to paper on a much deserved extension.
