It really does feel like this man has a target on his back. NY Giants quarterback Daniel Jones hasn't gotten much love across the country this offseason. We don't have to tell you he received plenty of hate after he signed his four-year, $160 million extension.

This season, Danny Dimes is going to look to silence all of his haters, as countless people think the former No. 6 overall pick is overrated and overpaid. Jones has enough motivation to last a lifetime, but we can go ahead and add something else to the list.

On Monday, ESPN released the QB rankings determined by scouts, execs, coaches and players. Jones was nowhere near the Top 10, being listed in the 'also receiving votes' category. Not even an honorable mention for Jones? Nope.

Daniel Jones will hope to play like a Top 10 QB this year

In this piece, Patrick Mahomes checked in at No. 1, which was no surprise. He was followed by Joe Burrow, Josh Allen, Aaron Rodgers, Justin Herbert, Jalen Hurts, Lamar Jackson, Trevor Lawrence, Dak Prescott and Matthew Stafford rounding out the Top 10.

Last season for the G-Men, Jones tossed for 3,205 yards, 15 touchdowns and five interceptions, while adding 700+ yards and seven more scores on the ground. In order for him to get in the Top 10 conversation for next summer, Jones will need to see those passing TDs go up.

The hope is that will be the case, as the Giants and Joe Schoen brought in Darren Waller, Jalin Hyatt, Parris Campbell and others to help out the aerial attack. The table has been set for Jones to potentially have the best year of his young career.

Jones and the Giants have a lot of people doubting them ahead of Week 1, as a lot of folks think 2022 was a fluke. In order for NY to get back to the playoffs, they'll need to see Jones be at his best and look like one of the top signal-callers in the NFC. Fans are hopeful that will be the case.
