Even Malik Nabers had to throw the new NY Giants jerseys under the bus

Unfortunately for the NY Giants, it looks like the release of their commemorative jerseys to honor their 100th season isn't quite going according to plan. Countless people have called out the G-Men for what the jerseys look like, including Cowboys cornerback Trevon Diggs.

The history behind things is pretty special, but come on, they aren't the most beautiful ones in the world. Just ask No. 6 overall pick Malik Nabers about that. The new Big Blue wideout was asked about the jerseys and he gave an honest response. Hey, we appreciate the young man being upfront about things!

Malik Nabers isn't a big fan of the new NY Giants throwback jerseys

Hard to swag it out? That's an understatement. Nabers had a smile on his face and respectfully made it clear that he's not a big fan of these throwback uniforms. Hopefully John Mara doesn't care too much about what his first-round pick had to say.

If anything, Mara, Joe Schoen and Brian Daboll will be more worried about how Nabers plays instead of how he looks. Nabers is already at work at OTAs trying to build chemistry with Daniel Jones, the presumed starter for the 2024 campaign.

As you've surely seen, there's been quite a bit of buzz that Drew Lock could push Jones for the QB1 job, but as long as he's healthy and cleared from his torn ACL, we expect Danny Dimes to run the show once Week 1 gets here. Then, he and Nabers will hope to put on a show against Minnesota.

From the moment the Giants sent the Nabers pick in, Big Blue supporters have been dreaming of this kid flying down the field at MetLife Stadium. There's WR1 pressure for Nabers, but with his confidence and unreal abilities, he should live up to the hype in '24 and beyond. As for the new jerseys - just worry more about making opposing defensive backs look silly, Malik. That's all we ask of you.
