2. WR Kadarius Toney
The Giants have been searching for a top wide receiver for a couple of seasons and have yet to find the perfect pass-catcher to improve the offense significantly. The team has tried to acquire a wideout through free agency with the potential of thriving in that role, such as Kenny Golladay, Golden Tate, and Parris Campbell; however, those players did not meet expectations while with the Giants.
Big Blue has also tried to draft wide receivers who they believed could shape the future of their offense, but some of those prospects either have yet to prove to succeed or miserably failed with the Giants. One former Giants wideout who failed miserably in New York was Kadarius Toney, who was selected with the No. 20 overall pick of the 2021 NFL Draft out of Florida. He gave the team several personal problems on the field, including being ejected for throwing a punch at Cowboys safety Damontae Kazee in the same game he broke the Giants' receiving record for a rookie. Toney also suffered several injuries, forcing him to miss a significant amount of time.
Toney only lasted 1.5 seasons with Big Blue before being dealt to the Kansas City Chiefs in exchange for a 2023 third-round compensatory pick and a 2023 sixth-round pick. The G-Men later sent that third-round pick to the Las Vegas Raiders for Waller. Since being traded to the Chiefs, Toney has trolled Giants fans on social media.
Although Toney is now a two-time Super Bowl Champion with the Chiefs, he has become the laughingstock of the NFL, as he has been caught on multiple occasions attacking the Giants and their fans on social media. It's already looking like he's on his way out of KC too.
