1. QB Drew Lock

When Drew Lock signed with the Giants, a lot of Big Blue Nation thought he would be able to take Jones' spot as QB1. Although there was some merit to that thought, as Lock had some flashes in limited playing time in 2023, it simply is not going to happen. The Giants are paying Jones about $48 million in 2024.

He's playing every single snap for this team this season. Everyone in and around this organization knows Jones isn't the long-term answer for this franchise, but that price tag is simply too high for him not to play. Let Jones audition for teams in 2024 and don't pick up his option for the remaining two years on his contract.

A shake up at the QB position is what the Giants need, but it isn’t happening this year. Jones would have to be injured again for Lock to see the field in 2024. Lock was a fine addition this offseason to add some depth after losing Tyrod Taylor. Lock may even inspire Jones to play better with the idea he could take over in his head. But, in reality, Jones will be the one under center this season, not Lock.
