2. Pass-rusher Melvin Ingram

Could the Giants go after 33-year-old veteran edge-rusher Melvin Ingram? Would Ingram come cheap for Big Blue? Melvin has been somewhat of a journeyman in the back half of his NFL career, but he can still produce. Last season, Ingram produced six sacks for Miami.

Melvin could be a great leader for this overall pretty young defense and especially the defensive line/edge group. Ingram could be a situational pass-rusher, coming in on third down, pinning his ears back, and applying pressure to opposing teams' QBs.

Ingram has boatloads of experience - he knows what it takes to get the job done. Checking in at 6-2, 245 pounds, he's also got solid speed for his size. Throughout his career, Ingram has played for the Dolphins, Chiefs, Steelers and Chargers.

Throughout his career, he has posted 57 sacks and 407 total tackles. Does he have some strong football still left in him? Schoen should be in contact to find out. Ingram could make an impact for this defense, no doubt about that.
