3 reasons Brian Daboll is 100 percent right in sticking with Daniel Jones
1. Tyrod Taylor was far from perfect in the SNF loss to Buffalo
Sure, the Giants offense may have had moments where it looked better under Taylor, but overall, it still wasn't strong. Not only did New York fail to win this game due to how bad the offense was, but they didn't even score a touchdown for the third week in a row, which is flat-out embarrassing.
People can argue about who looks better in whatever game, but at the end of the day, Taylor led an offense that still failed at putting points on the board just like Jones has. In addition to this, Taylor also had a brutal end to the first half, costing the Giants three points. On that play, he switched things up to a Saquon Barkley run and No. 26 was stuffed at the goal line. Time ran out and Brian Daboll was livid.
Taylor took more deep shots, which was nice to see, but overall, he didn't look significantly better than Jones. At least, not to the point where Taylor should be announced as the starter after just one game. Maybe Taylor can prove me wrong if he starts against the Commanders, but for now, he hasn't shown enough just yet to trust him as a genuine option. This needs to be Jones' offense when he's fully healthy. Don't overthink this, Big Blue fans.
