In the NY Giants preseason win over the Detroit Lions, Eric Gray stole the show. Early on, people were loving what they saw out of rookie fifth-round pick Tyrone Tracy Jr. running the ball, but Gray decided to remind everyone that he's still in town looking to make a splash too.

He did just that by breaking free for a 48-yard touchdown and juking Morice Norris out of his socks with an unreal move. As you might have been able to guess, Gray's teammates were fired up for him after the incredible score. The list included Tyler Nubin, who could not have been happier for the RB. However, Nubin also had to troll Gray a little bit too:

As you can see in the video above, Nubin was the first guy off the bench to show Gray love following his first TD. Then, though, he hit him with a,"when you get fast like that, bruh?" Come on, that's gold right there from Nubin and he wasn't alone in being shocked with Gray's breakaway speed.

Gray took the handoff from Tommy DeVito, broke through the middle, embarrassed Norris and then flew down the field on his way to the end zone. It was the kind of play that earned Gray a ton of respect across the country. Just ask the team over at Pro Football Focus about that.

Thanks to his two-touchdown performance against Detroit, Gray was named the Offensive Player of the Week. That gives him even more of a reason to smile, while it will also give him plenty of confidence ahead of the regular season.

With Tracy looking so sharp, plus Devin Singletary and Dante Miller looking strong in camp too, plenty of fans had forgotten about Gray. That's no longer the case, as he was fantastic vs. the Lions. Let's see what he can do for an encore against Houston.
