Giants fans delivered harsh reality with Sauce Gardner's assessment of Daniel Jones

The star Jets CB doesn't seem to be too scared of Jones' game.

After holding their own against the New York Jets during a joint practice, things turned out pretty rough for the NY Giants in Florham Park. Daniel Jones started off hot, but some miscues between him and his receivers, including Malik Nabers, spoiled the day.

Standout cornerback Sauce Gardner was in the middle of everything, doing his best to try and keep Nabers grounded. Gardner also had a close-up look at Jones trying to throw the ball all over the field and bounce back from his rough showing vs. the Texans.

After the joint session, Gardner stepped up to speak to the media and he was asked to discuss playing against Danny Dimes. Gardner, with a smile on his face, started off by saying that he thinks Jones is a good quarterback. After that, though, he clearly tried his hardest to not say anything negative about his game, struggling to do so. The reality here is that the top corners in the game don't seem to have any fear when it comes to facing the NY signal-caller:

Sauce Gardner was at a loss for words while describing Daniel Jones

This should be a prime example of teams not being too worried about Jones. It's a sad fact, but until Jones can play close to what he showcased in 2022, no defense is going to be trembling at the thought of having to prepare to face him.

At no moment did Gardner troll Jones or say anything negative about his game. However, you can't watch that clip and not be convinced that he found it hard to say anything overly positive about what Jones can do or what he did against Gang Green.

Him smiling and laughing off the answer told us everything we needed to know about how he feels about the NY signal-caller. Again, Gardner didn't take any shots at Jones, but his body language told the whole story.

Jones looked sharp at times during the session, but drops from his pass-catchers were an issue, while he missed on some shots too. The misses were an issue for him vs. the Texans, of course highlighted by the interception to Derek Stingley Jr. and the Jalen Pitre pick-six.

Remember last season following a Devon Witherspoon pick-six when the Seahawks cornerback called out Jones for eyeing down receivers too? That was a bit of a surprise, but it infuriated the fan base. Something tells us Gardner is going to have even more people talking about Jones following his latest comments, but not in a positive light.
