1. NY Giants fans will miss Julian Love

Julian Love will be missed greatly. In each progressive season with New York, Love got better. In 2022, the safety was the leader of Wink Martindale's defense and a team captain. Love played 1,006 snaps for the Giants last fall, and was very solid in coverage and tackling.

It was obvious at points during the season, especially in the games against Philadelphia, that Love's ceiling wasn't as high as the Giants would like, as he got burned repetitively. But don't get it twisted, Love is an above-average secondary piece, and they don't just grow on trees.

The problem with letting Love sign with Seattle is that they have yet to find an upgrade or replacement. Bobby McCain is the only safety the Giants added this offseason, and he is just veteran depth in an ideal world. Love’s leadership will probably be missed more than his on-field performance. He was the heart and soul of that defense, and at many points during the season the most vocal Giants player to the media.

We will all love Love, especially after he made hilarious comments about Nick Sirianni. The safety said prior to the Super Bowl on Good Morning Football that Sirianni “is in for a free ride right now.” If he wants to take major shots at Philly that result in all of Philly losing their collective minds, he’s welcome back in New York anytime.
