Giants’ Malik Nabers sends message to Cowboys DB about what's to come in 2024
It looks like NY Giants wide receiver Malik Nabers is ready to make sure the rivalry with the Dallas Cowboys is as entertaining as ever this season. His latest activity on social media sure has Giants fans talking, with countless people in Dallas livid.
Nabers was recently asked about which matchup he's most excited for this upcoming season and he didn't hesitate in going with Cowboys cornerback Trevon Diggs. Nabers went one step further, trolling Diggs on social media with a coffin emoji too. This sure has a lot of people talking:
Malik Nabers is ready to try and own Cowboys CB Trevon Diggs in '24
Dallas supporters are quite upset about this and they're reminding Nabers that the Cowboys have dominated the G-Men in recent years. Matter of fact, the Giants have lost nine of their last 10 showdowns against the Cowboys, including the first four matchups of the Brian Daboll era.
Regardless of that, Nabers, the 2024 No. 6 overall pick, is trying to bring some new swagger to East Rutherford and he's not going to back down from anyone. Think he's scared of Dallas and Diggs heading into the new campaign? Not at all.
Nabers turned plenty of heads during OTAs and minicamp - he's hoping to do the exact same once training camp gets started. Giants rookies will be reporting for camp on July 16 and that date can't get here soon enough. Nabers knows he has a ton of pressure on him in 2024, but he's not letting the high expectations impact him.
If anything, though, he's now going to have to back up his words once the Cowboys and Giants meet on the gridiron this fall. The first matchup of the year between the two sides is all set for Sept. 26. That will be a primetime Thursday Night Football clash at MetLife Stadium. The Diggs-Nabers beef will be one to follow closely, as both players will look to land proverbial jabs throughout the night. Hopefully that happens during a Giants win.
