Arguably one of the biggest steals of the 2023 NFL Draft could end up being Oklahoma running back Eric Gray. A lot of people didn't expect him to fall all the way to the NY Giants at pick No. 172, but he did and Joe Schoen had to be jacked up in landing him.

Gray wasted no time sending a message to Giants fans on Twitter, and now he has decided to show some love to one of the best players of all time, Lawrence Taylor. Gray took to Instagram to honor the Big Blue legend. Fans are going to love seeing this:

This is a youngster who knows about the guys who were able to put on a Giants jersey before him. Not only is Taylor a hero in East Rutherford, but he's the best defensive player in NFL history. That's right, we said it.

For Gray to be rocking a Taylor jersey like this has the NY faithful excited and understandably so. Gray is coming off a big season for Oklahoma too, as the 5-9, 205-pounder rushed for 1,366 yards and 11 touchdowns. He's needed depth for the running backs room moving forward.

With the way he's able to cut and lower his shoulder in going into would-be tacklers, Gray could be in line for some significant work this season. The Giants are going to want to protect Saquon Barkley and do everything they can to make sure they don't over-work him.

With Barkley, he's still in the middle of his contract drama, but Schoen said he'll be ready to speak with Saquon's reps now that the NFL Draft has come to a close. Regardless of how things play out there, Gray will be ready to help out Barkley and the running game to the best of his abilities. He also knows that LT will surely be watching him.
