The preseason hasn't even officially kicked off for the NY Giants, but that doesn't mean NFL Draft season ever sleeps. Already, people are counting down the days to see who the G-Men will land in the first round of the 2024 draft.
Could a star outside receiver be on the way for quarterback Daniel Jones and head man Brian Daboll? That's what the team over at Pro Football Network thinks, as they dropped a new two-round Mock Draft this week. PFN sees NY on the clock at No. 20 overall, with Joe Schoen going after Washington wideout Rome Odunze.
Washington WR Rome Odunze is in line for a massive year in the Pac-12
"The New York Giants are a roster full of slot receivers. Isaiah Hodgins is the only true outside receiver in the top six. Adding a bit of size on the outside with Rome Odunze gives Mike Kafka more options and allows him to properly use Jalin Hyatt and Wan’Dale Robinson in more niche roles to better benefit everyone involved.PFN's Dalton Miller

Odunze, previously mocked to the Giants by ESPN, could be exactly what this offense needs. Checking in at 6-3, 211 pounds, he has great size already for an outside wideout. With his great hands and speed, it makes him an even more electric prospect.
Last season for the UW Huskies, catching the ball from standout QB Michael Penix Jr., Odunze was a beast. He finished the campaign with 75 receptions for 1,145 yards and seven touchdowns. In the Apple Cup rivalry win over Washington State, Odunze caught five balls for 157 yards and a TD. He also added a rushing score.
This kid is a gamer and there's already plenty of buzz surrounding his name. If he's still available when the Giants and Schoen are on the clock on April 25, then it may be too tough for the front office to pass up on him. With his potential, he could be a great selection for Big Blue.
