What in the world is going to happen on Thursday night? That's what NY Giants fans keep on asking themselves. If you're losing focus at work, you're not alone there. The G-Men are expected to target either a wide receiver or cornerback at No. 25 overall.

However, could general manager Joe Schoen end up shocking us all on Thursday? You just never know what might happen, as people continue to speculate that Schoen could end up trading the first-round pick for a star wide receiver.

Throughout the offseason, guys like DeAndre Hopkins, Brandon Aiyuk, Tee Higgins and Stefon Diggs have been mentioned as possible trade targets. While it's up in the air if Schoen makes a blockbuster move, plenty of folks are starting to think Schoen is up to something.

Will the NY Giants pull off a blockbuster trade during the first round of the NFL Draft?

If the Giants do hang on to No. 25, cornerbacks including Deonte Banks and Emmanuel Forbes feel like the best possible fits. At wide receiver, Quentin Johnston, Zay Flowers and Jordan Addison have been linked with the G-Men more than once.

However, the word around this draft class is that the WR group isn't as great as originally expected, and that outside of Jaxon Smith-Njigba and Flowers, none of the speedsters would be a true WR1 for an organization.

Schoen is a genius. He might not want to risk reaching for a young WR. Instead, the second-year GM might have one of the potential trade targets mentioned above on his mind instead. If Schoen does land someone like Diggs, Higgins, Aiyuk or Hopkins, Big Blue supporters would be over the moon.

There'd be some cap gymnastics to get done, but Schoen has proven time and time again he's able to get things figured out. Thanks to Twitter, people are now even more excited for the first round to arrive. Something tells us Schoen is working on something special, and unexpected.
