What is this, 2021/22 again?! Back then, while still with the Seattle Seahawks, Russell Wilson trade rumors were flying all over the place and the NY Giants were among the teams listed as possible destinations for him. Now, a move to East Rutherford could be on the table again?

The Denver Broncos are expected to release Wilson soon and then he'll be able to sign with any team he wants. If you ask the NFL Network's Bucky Brooks, he thinks the Giants could be a great landing spot for the Super Bowl winner if he hits free agency. Might Joe Schoen be interested in bringing him in to compete with Daniel Jones for the starting job?

The Giants signing Russell Wilson this offseason would be wild to see

Wilson is obviously off limits in a trade, but if Denver does cut him and Wilson is willing to join a new team on a cheap deal, then maybe the G-Men should give him a ring. Wilson was a major disappointment with the Broncos and Sean Payton clearly wants to move forward with someone else under center.

Meanwhile for Brian Daboll and Schoen, they claim they want to move forward with Jones as the team's starter, but the buzz continues to grow that the Giants will move up for a new QB1. However, there's still a great chance they draft a wide receiver at No. 6 overall to add a dynamic element for the offense.

If they bring in Rome Odunze or Malik Nabers, then adding a new QB late in the first round/second round would be smart too. If the Giants decide to sign a veteran signal-caller in free agency, though, then that will change everything.

Last season for the Broncos, Wilson tossed for 3,070 yards, 26 touchdowns and eight interceptions. However, he was benched late in the season over him refusing to restructure his deal - the Broncos apparently wanted him to get rid of his injury guarantees, which was absurd.

Looking ahead to next season, barring a miracle, Wilson won't be in Denver and he'll be playing for his third franchise. Where will he land? Maybe a move to New York/New Jersey will end up happening for him and Ciara after all, but we're not going to hold our breath in this case either.
