Saints vs. Colts Key Players to Watch
New York Giants
Saquon Barkley: Barkley continues to be the lone bright spot on a Giants’ offense that is in a state of flux. The star running back has 412 yards and a touchdown on 110 carries this season. Barkley is coming off a ridiculous game last week, where he had 39 touches (36 carries) for 133 yards. He couldn’t find the end zone, but it’s clear that head coach Brian Daboll knows that the 26-year-old is their best player.
Las Vegas Raiders
Davante Adams: The veteran wide receiver was visibly frustrated in Monday night’s loss, as he only had one reception (seven targets) for 11 yards. This season has not gone well for Adams, who has 47 receptions (78 targets) for 539 yards and three touchdowns in eight games. But the 30-year-old only has one 100-yard receiving performance (172 yards and two touchdowns vs. Pittsburgh). If you are Raiders head coach Josh McDaniels, you must find a way to get Adams the ball, as he’s one of the best receivers in the NFL.
Raiders vs. Giants Prediction and Pick
All signs point towards Daniel Jones starting on Sunday for the Giants after being cleared for contact late last week. Jones missed the last three games with a neck injury he suffered in Week 5. If you are a Giants fan, you have the slight edge at QB as Jimmy Garoppolo has struggled in his first season in Las Vegas.
However, for the Giants to snap their road-losing skid, they must do a better job of protecting Jones, who’s been sacked 28 times. The good news for New York is the Raiders’ defense only has 16 sacks this season. If Jones can get some time and they get Barkley rolling on the ground against the Raiders’ run defense that is near the bottom of the league in yards per carry allowed. The Giants should sneak away with the win.
Pick: Giants ML (+124)
