NY Giants third-round pick Andru Phillips draft grade: B-

Another position of need? You've got that straight, as Kentucky's Andru Phillips was the third-round pick. At first, this seemed like a great get for the G-Men and Schoen, with plenty of people expecting Phillips to compete for the CB2 job on the outside. Him and Deonte Banks could be an exciting partnership.

However, right after the pick, Schoen said that the plan for now is to have Phillips play slot CB, with the possibility of him eventually moving to the outside. He also said Cor'Dale Flott could end up sticking on the outside for next season. If that's the case, then we're a little worried. Schoen tried to add a veteran CB in free agency, but he swung and missed.

He decided to find some value in the draft, and we were excited about Phillips on the outside. Do people have a ton of confidence in Flott to be a stud there instead? It's tough to say, but we have our doubts. With Phillips' position being a bit uncertain, that's why we're going with a B- in this case.
