Grading every pick the NY Giants made in the 2024 NFL Draft

NY Giants fifth-round pick Tyrone Tracy Jr. draft grade: C

This one caught us off guard for a bit. After the Giants missed out on Trey Benson, Will Shipley, Audric Estime and other running backs, we had a feeling Schoen would focus on a different position for Round 5. Perhaps an interior offensive lineman?

That would have felt like a smart choice, but Schoen decided to take a risk on Purdue RB Tyrone Tracy Jr. with the No. 166 overall pick. This could prove to be a strong move by Schoen and Tracy could also turn out to be a stud for this offense thanks to his great speed, but right now, it's a bit of a head scratcher.

The one thing to keep in mind here, though, is that Tracy was also a stud return man for Purdue, so look for him to also make an impact for NY's special teams unit in 2024. The Giants needed some help for Devin Singletary and they've brought that in with the Tracy pick. We'll give it a C for now, but we hope he proves us wrong down the road.
