This is something people are going to be talking about for quite some time. The latest episode of Hard Knocks focused heavily on the Saquon Barkley sweepstakes and how the NY Giants front office navigated free agency this offseason. Barkley moved on, but his free agency wasn't the only topic of conversation that was given a close-up look.

The Giants were busy, bringing in Jon Runyan Jr. and Jermaine Eluemunor for the offensive line, while also inking quarterback Drew Lock to provide quality depth behind Daniel Jones. A clip of Lock signing with the team is making the rounds on social media, especially after a Giants staffer joked with him to say 'Fu** the Eagles' as part of his opening message to the fanbase:

Giants staffer really wanted Drew Lock to troll the Eagles on Hard Knocks

It was clear that even after Barkley signed with the Eagles, the two-time Pro Bowler's decision to join a divisional rival left a bad taste in some people's mouth. The original clip resurfaced from the team's X account when the new viral clip aired at the end of the new Hard Knocks episode. The comment from the staff member garnered priceless reactions from Giants fans, who joked that Lock should've actually bashed the Eagles in his introductory video. Could you imagine?

If Daniel Jones can't play in Week 7 or Week 18, Lock could make the most of the opportunity against Philly and Barkley. The veteran could help lead the Giants over their NFC East rival and give the team much-needed wins over the enemy.

Still, it will be exciting to watch Lock compete for opportunities in 2024, as he will provide experience to the Giants offense as a former starter and backup with the Denver Broncos and Seattle Seahawks. Don't forget that he beat the Eagles in primetime last campaign. Regardless of if he plays or not, it's clear that Lock is quite happy to be East Rutherford and he's gotten a quick history lesson on what the rivalry with Philly means.
