There will be 259 picks in the 2023 NFL Draft

Throughout the seven rounds, with things going from Thursday, April 27 to Saturday, April 29, there will be a total of 259 selections made in the 2023 NFL Draft. With Miami losing it's first-rounder this year, there will only be 31 picks made in the first round, instead of the usual 32.

After that, Rounds 2-3 will take place on Friday, April 28, while Rounds 4-7 will wrap things up on Saturday, April 29. There have been some fantastic late picks made by teams over the years, including the infamous 'Mr. Irrelevant.'

Last season, the 49ers picked a little-known QB by the name of Brock Purdy with the final selection of the 2022 NFL Draft. Due to injuries to Jimmy Garoppolo and Trey Lance, Purdy ended up starting quite a bit and helped the team go on a postseason run. Purdy is no ready to win the starting job next campaign.

Don't even sleep on late-rounders, folks. All in all, the draft later this month will be a ton of fun, with young players seeing their dreams come true.
